Honour Woman, part of Amouage’s Amber Floral line, was launched in 2011 for women and was developed by Alexandra Carlin and Violaine Collas. The fragrance’s name and composition are drawn from Madame Butterfly’s final aria, Con onor muore, conveying a blend of poetic love and a doomed fate. A central white-flower accord sits at the heart of the composition, representing betrayed love: tuberose as danger, jasmine as attachment, gardenia as secret passion, lily of the valley as purity of heart, and white carnation as innocence and fidelity.
